Diffused Redness
Diffused redness of the skin, otherwise referred to as Rosacea, is a sign of thin, damaged skin, flushing and inflammation. It predominantly affects fair-skinned people and develops in the adult years.
Rosacea is partly hereditary, and influences such as sun exposure, extreme temperatures, stress and irritants can provoke its development. Often there are also blood-vessel changes at the surface of the skin, called couperosis.
Permanent Diffused Redness is a sign of:
• Thin, damaged skin
• Flushing
• Inflammation
How does one counter these effects?
• Rebuild the skin (thicken the skin so that the vascular effect does not show through).
• Support the vessels so they cannot dilate as much (rebuild connective tissue).
• Use essential fatty acids that are metabolized in the skin to form strong anti-inflammatories.
• Repair the “natural skin barrier” (seal to prevent foreign particles from entering and triggering an immune response with ensuing inflammation).
