N-Acetyl-Glucosamin (NAG), a natural fragment of hyaluronic acid (hyaluronan), stimulates the endogenous formation of hyaluronic acid and supports the turgor of the connective tissue. The turgor has a decisive influence on the elasticity and tightening of the skin. Externally applied hyaluronic acid (hyaluronan) forms a permeable, moisture-retaining film with a wrinkle-reducing and plumping effect due to the hydrogen bridge linkage with the keratin of the skin. Together with NAG, an increase of skin moisture and a visible wrinkle reduction are obtained. Liposomes enable the transport of NAG through the skin barrier, whose membranes consist of physiological phosphatidylcholine (INCI: Lecithin). D-Panthenol (provitamin B5) also supports the transport of NAG and simultaneously has regenerative effects – among others through a stimulated epithelialization. Barrier-affine ceramides and sebum-related lipids additionally generate a sustainable skincare effect.

Additive for DMS base creams for the care of dehydrated and atrophic skin. The product can also be used for the cosmetic eye care. In this case it is applied on the closed eyelid.
