Ultrasound Gel
Base gel for combination with active agents
Intensive care
Composition:
The gel shows excellent lubricating properties and contains moisturizing agents and filming substances both causing a slight reduction of the transepidermal water loss.
ICNI:
Aqua, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Sodium Carbomer, Xanthan Gum
Properties:
The product is used in pure form as a medium for ultrasound applications in the beauty institute.
The gel can be enriched by aqueous actives (extracts and solutions). Among others, it supports the release of alga, aloe vera, CM-glucan, D-panthenol, echinacea, green tea, hamamelis and hyaluronic acid into the skin.
Liposomes and nanoparticles penetrate very fast without ultrasonic treatment. Of course these products can be added to the ultrasound gel too. The penetration will not be accelerated.
The gel as such increases the skin hydration during the treatment and apart from any excess amount it is not necessary to remove or wash off the gel.
The gel can be applied on face, body and extremely sensitive skin - also without ultrasonic treatment.
Application:
The gel is spread on the skin before the ultrasonic treatment.
Aqueous active agent concentrates may either be applied before the ultrasound gel or blended with the gel.
Also oily active agent concentrates like grape seed or rose hip oil (essential fatty acids) may be used if they are first mixed with liposomes and nanoparticles and then blended with ultrasound gel.
Of course mixtures of the base gel with actives can also be applied without ultrasound. Then the mixtures correspond to high value face care gels.
